Halesowen date for Aled Jones on new national tour

Singer Aled Jones has announced a second date in the borough as part of his national tour.

The Welshman will perform Full Circle – a show featuring songs and stories from his career – at Halesowen Town Hall on Thursday May 29 next year.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Fri) at 10am and are expected to be snapped up quickly.

Aled shot to fame as the boy treble and voice behind Walking in the Air on classic Christmas animated film The Snowman.

It firmly established him as a household name and he has gone on to sell more than seven million albums, performing in concerts and theatres all over the world.

He is also performing the show at Dudley Town Hall later this year, on Thursday November 21.
Rupert Knowlden, manager for Dudley Borough Halls, said:

“Aled Jones is a British icon – his voice will forever be part of Christmas in hundreds of thousands of homes across the country.

“We are delighted to be hosting a second date in the borough for his new show, where fans will be able to hear Aled as they have never heard him before.

“We expect tickets to go quickly, so would urge people to get booked up on Friday morning to avoid disappointment.”
Standard tickets cost £30, with VIP tickets available for £50 and Meet & Greet tickets at £70.

Meanwhile, tickets have gone on sale today (Thu) for TV presenter and adventurer Ben Fogle’s show WILD at Dudley Town Hall on Wednesday March 12 next year. It will tell true stories from his encounters with animals and people from all over the world.

Shows coming up in May at Dudley Town Hall include comedian Ed Byrne’s critically acclaimed Tragedy Plus Time on Saturday May 11.

The Magic of Motown comes to the St James’s Road venue on Friday May 17, while a recreation of Frank Sinatra’s famous retirement concert is on Thursday May 23.

Tommy Blaize, the lead singer on Strictly Come Dancing for more than 20 years, will be at the town hall on Friday May 24. To get tickets for any of the shows, call the box office on (01384) 812812 or book online at www.boroughhalls.co.uk.
