Like the preparation of all the plans forming the Local Development Framework, and many other strategies, the community and other stakeholders need to be involved early on in the process of developing the Core Strategy.
Since November 2006, we have been working with key stakeholders to identify the key issues facing the Black Country over the next 20 years. This lead to the production of the Core Strategy Issues & Options Document which was used as a basis for public consultation during 2007 along with continued discussion with key stakeholders. Information about the consultation undertaken during the Issues and Options stage can be found here.
The consultation responses from the Issues and Options stage have been considered alongside further technical evidence in preparing the preferred options. A preferred options consultation document is now published and subject to public consultation between 17th March 2008 and 28th April 2008. Further details about that consultation are available by following the link to the 'preferred options' public consultation.
