The Council submitted the Dudley Borough Development Strategy (BDS) to the Secretary of State on 11 March 2016.  It was subject to scrutiny by way of an independent examination.  Jameson Bridgwater PGDipTP MRTPI, an independent Planning Inspector, was appointed by the Secretary of State to conduct the examination and  determine whether the Plan was “sound” and complied with all legal requirements.   The Inspector was assisted by an independent Programme Officer, Melanie Owen-Roberts.

The hearings were held on  17 - 18 May 2016 in the Council House, Priory Road, Dudley DY1 1HF.  All sessions were open to the public to observe.  A Pre-Hearing Meeting was not held.
