Following submission to the Secretary of State on 26 February 2010, the Brierley Hill Area Action Plan (AAP) is subject to independent scrutiny by way of an examination.
The purpose of the examination is to consider if the Development Plan Document (DPD) complies with the legal requirements and is ‘sound’. The Secretary of State has appointed an independent Inspector Vincent Maher MA (Cantab) MCD MBA MRTPI to conduct the examination.
The Inspector is currently writing the report and this is due to be published on Friday 4 March 2011.
Please note that the examination office has now closed. Please
contact the Council if you have any queries regarding the examination or the Area Action Plan.
Consultation resulting from revised PPG13
On 3 January 2011, the Government issued a revised version of PPG13 Transport which includes some changes to national policy regarding car parking standards and charges. Respondents to the AAP were invited to let the Inspector know whether they considered the changes to PPG13 raised any new matters that had a bearing on or might affect the soundness of the AAP. The consultation ended on 2 February 2011.
